Refund policy
Short version: being outbid is not a refund event, because it is the product. Everything else that goes wrong is on us, and we refund it automatically.
We refund automatically, without you asking
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Somebody bought the same placement seconds before you | Full automatic refund, plus an email telling you the new price. Your card is charged and refunded; you never hold a placement you did not get. |
| We remove your placement for a reason that is not your fault | Pro-rata refund of the unused portion of your stake. |
| The site shuts down permanently | Pro-rata refund of live placements, measured against the decay schedule. |
| You were charged twice for one purchase | Full refund of the duplicate, as soon as we see it or you tell us. |
We do not refund
- Being outbid or benched. Anyone can take your placement by paying more. That is the mechanic you bought into, it is stated at checkout, and it is not a fault.
- Fewer visitors, views or clicks than you hoped. We make no traffic guarantee anywhere, and we publish the real numbers rather than projections.
- Changing your mind after your logo has appeared. The placement is delivered the moment it goes live.
- Removal for breaching the content rules in the Terms.
Prices falling after you pay
Every stake decays 8% per day, so the price to replace you falls continuously. If you pay and the price is slightly lower minutes later, that is the schedule working as described — not an overcharge, and not refundable. Your price is fixed at the moment you pay.
Consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. That right does not apply once fully performed digital content has been delivered with your agreement, which is what happens the instant your logo appears on the pitch. Where mandatory local law gives you a right we have not honoured, that law wins over this page.
How to ask
Email hello@playfootball.lol with the email address you used at checkout. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically take 5-10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
